Hello, I recently oversaw an acquaintance watching a show or a film on UP Faith & Family, and I didn't get around to asking them what it was...

From what I remember- the ending had the main character being questioned in a courtroom, and then it shows flashbacks of him surfing and a strike of lightning. I then saw in the credits what became of him, so it looked like something based on a true story. It looked interesting because I'm intrigued by based on true event films/shows. Anyone who can help with this title, I greatly appreciate it!
